Unwritten Law
Elva
Interscope

This album is quite obviously a musical landmark, and this is apparent in a first listen. The songs are so incredibly well arranged and there is obvious genius and talent behind them. These San Diego musicians certainly know their instruments and the wide range of songs will depict this well. From the hard-rockin techno 'Mean Girl' to the laidback, atmospheric melodies of 'Geronimo' to the acoustic-rock ballads of 'Rest of my Life' and 'Elva'. Listening to Unwritten Law is much like having sex in Disneyland on Christmas day. Nothing beats sailing away in your own little world to the blissful euphoria of an Unwritten Law album, it really does play with your mind. I would give you some comparisons to other bands to give you an idea of the sound you can expect but it really is quite hard. They are so unique in their music and you will instantly recognise an Unwritten Law song when you hear it. Each song is so different from the last, the unpredictability of the band is what makes them so exciting. Well, that and the fact that their music is the wave of the future that the pop culture so desparately needs to be wahed with. I can promise you that no matter what your music taste, there is something for everyone in Unwritten Law - Elva. I would extremely recommend it.
